Well this is my first post on here...I signed up to monitor my Son on here but after reading this posting about Norton's Fans being trash I simply can not remain silent. This is simply my opinion, for what it's worth, Fans will always be rowdy, there will always be at least a few redneck drunks around who have no clue, and there will always be signs made by High School kids trying to beat out the others in cute sayings putting the other team down. In this area where Football is God what else do you expect? I personally would love to see many of these people ( at least half) at some baseball games supporting the same guys they cheer on each fall but any way I am straying from the point. At the game last night I witnessed a sign saying that all the hard work that the kids from Norton puts in all amounts to them "cheating" their way to victory? Please, then I saw the PV players enter the field to applause and silence from the Norton side. I then saw the kids from Norton enter the field to loud Boos from the other side. Then after a hard played game, my six year old and I were going to speak to my oldest out on the field, when his Father was verbally attacked by the great Leader of PV, Mr. Phil Robbins. His remarks were out of line, childish and very hard to explain to a small child wanting to know why that man was yelling at his Daddy? He was told by this man "go ahead and get another runner up" and get off "My Field", along with other fans and mostly parents going on the field. Last time I checked that place was a public park? Could be wrong not sure. No one has said anything about the behavior of this man last night. To the best of my knowledge Coach Adams from Norton has NEVER attacked or said anything to any fan or player from another team. Last night went beyond fans, it's to be expected sadly enough, however I simply can not get over a grown man who is supposed to lead by example acting like a small child who suddenly wants to take his toys and go home. I seem to remember watching PV fans cheering and having a good time on the field at Norton after beating us at many games. Someone needs to speak to the behavior of this coach, I for one am glad that my son can look to Coach Adams to teach him to win and lose with some dignity. I for one am tired of explaining to my son why "those people" are saying "those bad words" to us after winning a game in Bullet Park.
